In a tweet, Elon Musk has confirmed the appointment of Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter. Yaccarino was previously the chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal and is widely recognized as one of the most influential women in the media industry. Musk stated that Yaccarino’s focus would primarily be on business operations, while he concentrates on product design and new technology. He expressed his excitement about working with Yaccarino to transform the platform into an all-in-one application called “X, the everything app.”

She is widely regarded as one of the most influential women in the media industry and has been recognized for her exceptional leadership and innovative approach, according to numerous reports.

According to reports, Linda Yaccarino was promoted to the position of chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal in 2016. During her leadership, the advertising business at NBCUniversal experienced significant growth, and she played a crucial role in developing new advertising platforms such as the ad-supported streaming service Peacock.

Yaccarino is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Business and serves on the board of directors of various companies, including ViacomCBS and The New York Times Company. Additionally, she is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on the Future of Work. Elon Musk will transition to the role of exec chair and CTO, focusing on overseeing product, software, and sysops.

Musk had previously expressed his desire to stabilize the organisation before appointing a new CEO and suggested that Twitter would be ready for someone else to run the company towards the end of 2023.
